A downloadable mod
Not quite quest mod, not quite alternate start, Redux sidesteps the original main quest in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with an entirely new main story that replaces the power fantasy with a mystery that's far more personal.
It is a plot thread designed to slowly unravel while adventuring and enhance vanilla, rather than take centre stage like the Dragonborn. By decentralising the MQ, the idea is to free up the player and focus on the open world sandbox.
This is the most recent version of the original mod prior to the AIO in late 2022. Last updated in April 2022.

Sorry i never got to read this mod's page on nexus so im pretty puzzled as to how this works, does this mod replace the main quest or does it add a side story that originates from a certain point and ends independently from the vanilla main quest, without replacing vanilla content?
Side story. You can still optionally pick up the Dragonborn MQ by speaking with Balgruuf which leads into the Dragonstone quest.
